I'm not sure if my car is what you guys want here? I'm not sure what the entry criteria is? I have a 1975 MGB GT V8 which I Drag race. I think I looked in here many moons ago and for some reason I didnt stay in touch. The MG is Race only now and it goes well on the 1/4 mile. Is this the sort of car that a Hot Rod forum wants? I used to belong to the NSRA but they told me my car wasnt really a Hot Rod and they refused to let me join them at the NHRA Drags at Shakey a long time ago so I gave up on the Hot Rod forums in the UK as my car is an original 1975 steel bodied door slammer and not a fibre glass copy of a 32 Ford coupe running on a kit car chassis Regards Perry

Hi Dazzah ! Thanks for the welcome. I live in Buckingham just around the corner from Fad15. I tried to fit in with the NSRA many moons ago but it didnt really work to be honest. I had some good chats on there. But at the end of the day I lost interest when they snubbed me for their hot rod meet at Shakey. I think I may have upset some folk when i said that I considered my full steel bodied original factory car to be a hotrod as it was modified at home, and I personally didnt consider a fibre glass shop bought body on top of a kit car chassis with running gear from a Jag donor that looked like a period car to be a hotrod in the spirit of the HRD's? That did not sit well with a lot of folk on there. They even told me that there was a manufacturing cut off date which was before my car was made, so I was not allowed to attend? It was long a go now but it still niggles me when I hear the term NSRA I am on RnS forum already and I look in a couple of times a week. I'll go find BHRA on facebook and join in there as well.
