On the first Thursday of every month there is an informal gathering of Hot Rods, American cars, Muscle cars, Harleys etc. at the Chatham Dockside shopping centre.
Cars just start arriving from around 5pm and last month there was in excess of 100 cars, this month, I think more than 130 cars of all sorts and shapes came, that does not include the Harleys and some other specials we had yesterday on the 4th of July.
We decided that Nicola would stay with and keep her mum company, while I took her dad and Mickey our neighbour down to look at what was on offer.
Before that Mickey and I had been to an engineering shop to have my rear bumper and tow bar drilled out to size so that I could get the tow ball on for the teardrop trailer.See Page three of the trucks thread. 67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/showthread.php?t=585901
Looking from the top down, there were a lot more cars about.
I took pics of the majority, but would have missed some.
Completely random, as I saw them come in or parked up.
Driver had to do a donut on leaving, lovely to see, but of course the sort of show off behaviour that gets events like this shut down.
A pair of Honda powered specials, no idea what engines etc, but lovely and real artistry in the handmade tanks etc.
Good mate Aaron's self built Anglia, really lovely.
Clean Corvette.
Well executed modern racer.
This was white last month.
I want one....... Chicken cooker/smoker in a gas bottle.
Opens up midway to lay chicken on grid.
Triumph Stag was nice example of a clean car.
There were quite few Cobra's, but not my cuppa tea.
Chevy C10 was recent purchase by owner, will be yellow in the long run.
Nothing wrong with a modern if executed well.
Not what I would buy, but it was awesome and gorgeous.
Truck for sale, owner on the rear having his fish and chips.
Red Sunbeam, nice car.
Gorgeous, in a word.
Always wanted one, now changed my mind
V8, I think someone did mention 6.8 liters.
Only space for backseat drivers.
Red cars faster ?
Another one of my favourite cars every time.
Giant Killer
And another Chevy truck.....
Love the rims on this truck.
Old gentleman, unlike all the hooligans about.
And those were the pics I got.
Hope you enjoyed.
