Ok not exactly for sale right now, but have a serious hankering for a nigh on extinct Vauxhall Venny, if I found one it will be
what do you guys n gals thinks its worth??
2.9 24v cosworth out of a 96 Scorpio, lumped into a MK4 cortina (originally a 2.3 auto) fitted with a t9 strengthened gearbox, atlas back axle, polybushed all round, new waterpump, clutch, K and N airfilter, VSS fitted to stop the stall prob, fully serviced 50 miles ago,
GAZ adjustable front shockers, Paint job was done by a previous owner and not brilliant, but presentable,
MOTed till july, on SORN right now, but ignore that
probably will be taxed when if I decide to let her go.
full set of cossie grey velour seats, (Think out of said Scorpio)
Has a few niggles, which I intend to sort when the crap weather decides to bugger off, clutch cable needs adjusting, its new but fitted rather badly, bugger to get 1st n reverse when warm, water temp sender needs doing, always kicks up in cold start, which is bloody irritating after a good journey, and start her up again (revs like bugger, and stalls ergo gets worse)
got a new sender unit to put in, but will check the wiring to the ECU to see if its responding.
could do with a bigger back box on the exhaust, or a powerflow system, right now its getting back pressure which emulates a carehome fart
needs a good coat of underseal underneath, no rust just needs it, it hasnt got any
Has retro S alloys all dated the same
and a RS spoiler.
few little rust blisters here and there, bugger all major
think that covers the majority of her, daresay theres a few tiny bits here and there Ive missed but hell, you could go on forever with old wagons
so what you reckon? I know what I paid for her and what Ive spent on her, kinda guess I wont get my money back, but thats ok,
