and a date in June and you have the recipe for the Saltster.. this machine has been on the planning list for several years. But it was the loss of my wife a month ago  that has finally pushed it into reality. A good mate contacted me just after Hayley passed and offered to help me build this machine, he knew I needed something to focus on and thankfully stepped up to the mark. I will be forever grateful to him for this much needed boost. I will be running her at the Pendine LSR weekend in June, the build is my therapy and the run is my tribute to a much missed lady... I will post progress as and when it happens.. cheers.. |

interesting project and I like your pop project as well, I have been looking for info on the Pendine LSR meet but can't find anything is this really on as i am a big fan of LSR having been to bonneville, any info appreciated

well progress has started, spent the weekend with a good mate working in his garage on the Saltster, got her from a pile of parts to an almost complete bike, sadly missing the forks and wheels I think I will be running.. but anyway here is a little taster of what she looks like now.. Attachments:

picked up the new wheels and forks yesterday, going to need someone to machine me up a pair of taper bairing cup's for the forks. any idea's for a reasonable priced engineer in the area?
also on the look out for a smallish moon style tank to mount on the forks for fuel,needs to be around 1.5 - 2 ltr.. cheers
