With the possible sale of my Rover looming, it's got me thinking. Have there been any motors that you've regretted selling, and why did you have to part? For me it was my first Capri. I had to sell this as I was 21 years old, had just lost my job and couldn't afford to insure it. I regretted it so much, that in 2006 I had enough money to replace it with my 2.8i. I know I'm going to regret selling the Rover, but I have to keep reminding myself of the reasons for selling; It then makes sense. Let's discuss

Been a few mainly my Venny II brought it as a basic wreck, spent 2 years re building her, kept it stock apart from the allys and paint which was SARB1 burgundy I really wanted to drop a short block into her and tub the rear arches up and do the do but finances dictated different so I went the retro route had new everything, with braided hoses KN filter, timing chain, usual changeable stuff retro fitted cd multiplayer 18 speaker etc.. 1998, this is cost me a bomb, cosmic retro allys with low profiles giving it the slight sleeper look wheels got from a antique shop by coincidence and cost me another leg, had to have them mind custom free flow twin exhaust, which sounded the bomb won a few awards with her back in 1999 then work just died put on a 4 day week, then onto a day shift (worked nights) losing a grand a month, cut it for 4 10 months, Venny was covered up, but rust n probs (as they do) started to appear, just couldn't afford to do owt with her took the dive and chucked her on auto trader, got a paltry £700 quid and damn I cried when she got drove away been looking for her ever since SPN 578G find her let me know will ya Last seen in london in '91

That's a shame mate, nice looking Vauxhall I know someone who's been heavily into Ventora's for years, the only problem is he worked for SC Motor Factors, but the last time I went down there it looked like he'd left. He was the only one I'd ask for parts as he loved a part number and knew what superseded what. If I manage to track him down I will ask him for you.
