Think its time I bailed out , its not happening , everything is on facebook now , we tried so some of the bar humbugs will have to join the modern age and log onto facebook www.facebook.com/pages/British-hotrod-association/514877138530497?ref=tn_tnmnThis will also tell everyone what they need to know , it's doing really well been on line less than this forum and got nearly 900 likes to date . Understand completely - I have the same problem with the 2 forums I run mate. The Only reason I UN liked the facebook page, was it kept filling my news feed up with photos every day.

It's catch 22 not enough pictures people arnt interested to many people get the hump, but to be honest I like looking at cars n bikes more than some sad twat that's moaning about there partner .
It's odd what people air on facebook lol .

Cheers Dazza We will still be up detling most Thursdays were trying to organise more runs out yep I can see your point, however, this forum gives people the chance to share their own work on their own cars and not just look at random "hotrods" which any google search can bring up. It is a real shame that I am not able to see some of our members previous rides and builds from the past  . I know I dont own a hot rod, but I do own a very rare Ford and love it to bits, and I would be interested in peoples thoughts on "future" classics or modifications to newer cars ( 70`s 80`s and 90`s ). To build up a community takes time and effort and also some knock backs along the way. I think all the members here and on facebook have thoughts and ideas, so why they dont share them is a mystery to me. How about a day at the beach instead of a Run somewhere ? My car club recently did a beach invasion to Leysdown, where we set up the cars and event shelter along with a couple of advertising banners. We had several people comment during the day about the club and even had one guy from Definitive cruisers pull up on his own in his ride to introduce himself and ask all about our club. I think if we had know about this before we organised a drive to margate we should have all joined , but we have club members from all over the place , so someone will have to drive at some time , but we would be looking at making this a more regular thing also organising more for the girls

I didn't put more details up as I am a noob on here and didn't want to encroach on your clubs plans or anything like that. Some clubs don't like that sort of thing when events are posted up from other clubs. Just a thought from me tho basically the forum will run itself if needs be - just revamp it into events/photos and general car/bike chit chat and let it run, rather than shut the forum down. Make the forum accessible to guests to post in events, then people who don't want to join for whatever reason would still be able to post events up . on each board have a direct link to our facebook page, so when people visit here they can see the link to facebook. the choice is then theirs as to where they post. Would be real sad to see it go.

Post what you want mate , I won't close it but like you say leave it to see what happens the problem is the older people want to know what's going on hence the forum as they don't do facebook , but then they don't join in , ?
