Hey guys! I am after some help in finding a part for my current project car, I asked Darren yesterday and had a look through the "Car Builder" catalouge but had no success. Now I am under the impression that years ago (long before my time) these things were pretty popular and fitted to a lot of vehicles but I am having a right old task trying to find one. I think they are called a "Anti-Condensation Pad" or a "Rear Demister Pad" but I am having a right old task trying to find one. Here is the item I am after. www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DESMO-REAR-DEMISTER-PANEL-NEW-OLD-STOCK-MINI-COOPER-BMC-FORD-ANGLIA-HERALD-IMP-/251221328751?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3a7df5436fI thought it would be pretty simple to fins one but that doesnt seem to be the case. Can any one suggest anywhere i can get one? I know of a supplier that can get hold of one for me, but at nearly £200 I am not overly keen on it. Even finding some photos of these it a task in itself! If anyone knows where I could get one, or knows of anyone which has one lying around, anything really I would be extremely grateful. Thanks everyone!

Be a cheap arsed miser and put a plastic box half full of salt under the seat or hidden bodge some holes in the lid, and it will suck all the moisture and condensation out the cabin summat like those biscuit boxes you get at xmas or a lunch box put one in my Tina over winter when it was covered up, and it was dry as a bone. salt turned into a block! can get moisture catchers too, look in the caravan section like crystals but do the same thing as salt

Cheers Fred. I have tried things like that, rain X stuff and that but the main reason I am after one is purley for visual asthetics. Now I think about it maybe I could make one myself out of convertible top window material and then try your salt trick!

I like your thinking! I'm sure I could make something for far less and just as effective. Might visit the camping shop down the road for supplies an give it a go! What's to loose?
