How not to spend a sunday nite - blood content

as they are bloody nasty
I was doing a bit of cosmetic work on the house Sunday
as its up for sale, it was getting on towards 7 at night
and I'd been floor tiling the porch and generally making good little bits and bods
tools were lying about, but I was going to clear up monday morning straight from work.
put my work stuff on for the sunday night shift
coming down the stairs and slipped on a stray drill bit, landed on my arse, my leg hitting the upright of my steel set square full on
slicing a varicose vein in my calf.
never felt it, got up, and walked into the living room, then I noticed blood, lots of blood,

heres the living room, and kitchen, after I went all WTF
and phoned 999,











Lost 2 pints of blood in 20 mins
The Para medics were there in 5 minutes
god bless the NHS!!

Strapped up right now with orders to keep it lifted for 72 hours
give it time to heal up.
got a carpet cleaner coming in wednesday, although I think a new one is needed!!
